2nd place!
First off, let me start off by giving D and myself huge props.
We got that car done!
I was worried about it weighing too little or too much or it just being all wrong for that matter.
In the end, I didn't have a lot to worry about because all was right after a little help from youtube and the internet. His car looked great and it had his M for Mach or Mario (depending on his mood). The races went by quickly and before I knew it, he was in 2nd place.
I'm very proud of the work he put into his car and how happy he is to share his trophy with everyone we've seen since.
I have to point out though, that the best part of the day for me was him running up to me after he had received his trophy to say,"Mommy! Papa will be so proud of me!" We miss and talk about papa a lot lately and as his deployments gets closer its moments like this that I know he loves and misses him as much as I do. Keeping papa at the forefront of our thoughts and conversations in moments like these are important to me because even though he can't be there in person we know he's there with us in spirit always. Hooray for 2nd place!
